About Me
My story
I am a coach and psychologist, and I have lived in the Netherlands since 2010.
I have personally experienced that expat life, while full of rewarding changes, also brings many challenges: the difficulties of adapting, facing cultural differences, and coping with homesickness.
In an environment where people often come and go or move to other countries, creating stability and emotional safety becomes especially important.
This allows me to support others with authenticity and empathy when they are looking for help in their own language.
I completed my studies at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), one of Europe’s most prestigious psychology programmes.
I hold a Master’s degree in Health Psychology, with specialisations in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Developmental Psychology.
My main approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trained at ACT in Actie, but I also draw from multiple evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Systemic Therapy, and Mentalization-Based Therapy.
In my work, I do not provide diagnoses or follow rigid protocols, but rather adapt to your personal needs and values.
I believe in a holistic perspective, where the harmony of body and mind and the activation of inner resources play a central role.
I use modern, evidence-based methods in a flexible and client-centred way.
It is important to me that the process takes place in a safe, non-judgmental space, where we can process emotions, recognise patterns from the past, and create new coping strategies and ways of relating to yourself and others.
What can I help you with:
- stress, anxiety, uncertainty, depressive symptoms
- adjustment difficulties, homesickness
- low self-esteem, perfectionism, overthinking
- study pressure
- life direction, relationship or identity issues
- emotional blocks, grief, accepting change
- creating a healthy lifestyle
